We bought this flat woven rug at Ikea for 5.99!

I taped off the lovely chevron pattern I wanted, which took a bit of work, maybe 2 hours total, with measuring and my slow work speed. I then used spray paint from Walmart to create this beauty! Holding the rug with a dashing smile was as much help as Cade wanted to contribute.

Here it is in my formally boring pioneer hallway. The pets were too curious to move. But you get the idea. I seriously love this rug and what it does for my lil hallway! I definitely wouldn't use this tactic for a rug in a living room or a room where there was a chance I would lay on this rug. It's not the softest thing with the paint on it. It works perfectly for a kitchen hallway though!

All the pics are with my phone, so they aren't the clearest.
