Dee-lish Pancakes

Cade and I have been loving these pancakes lately. He requests them every other day it seems like. I've taken a recipe from the world wide web and have made my own modifications and created something delectable! I will now share with all you lucky people.

Makes 6 larger pancakes

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon white sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg, beaten
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons applesauce
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon

*optional
1 mushed/cut banana
chocolate chips
(that's what is in the pancakes pictured above)

You could add anything you wanted really...we've added nuts and even toffee bits before (cade snuck those in and it wasn't too bad. It was a very dessert-like breakfast)

1. combine flour, white sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon in one bowl. In a separate bowl mix together egg, milk, apple sauce, vanilla. (also if you choose to add bananas or anything else put them in the 'wet' ingredients bowl)

2. Stir flour mixture into 'wet' mixture.

3. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat (we use a griddle and set it to 275) Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Cook until golden brown (3 ish minutes on each side has seemed to work perfectly), serve hot!

Enjoy! If anyone makes them, let me know how it went!
