I AM...

Okay so I decided to post this a little bit earlier. I have a lame sore throat and needed something to occupy my time.

So as I have mentioned before, I am graduating in May. Yay! As a graphic design major, you take a BFA class your last semester. In this class you get yourself together, get your portfolio all spiffed up and get ready for post graduate life. As apart of this class we basically plan a little party/celebration where all the graduating seniors can show their portfolios and celebrate being graduated! As a class we voted that the theme of this lil shin-dig would be "I am". We all had to design a poster that would represent us as designers, people, creative minds or we could just make something we thought might be cool lookin. It also had to be a self-portrait of some kind. It could be literal or abstract. Here are a few examples from my class...



I didn't quite know what to do, but I knew I needed some sweet head shots by Aub to start with. (Which is kind of like Head Shots by Deb, from Napoleon Dynamite) Luckily my sis-in-law Aubrey is an awesome photographer! I called her up and of course she immediately agreed to take some pics. I promised her some sort of creative favor in return and we got crackin. For some reason I'm really awkward in front of the camera, but we got a few good ones.



I especially like the top left one, it's my catalog pose shot. I think I pretty much nailed it. Here's the result of Aubrey's profesh photog skills mixed in with a lil bit of my skills...


All of our posters are going to be printed up and will be posted around town to advertise our BFA show. Maybe you'll see mine! I like how it turned out. I've found that when I just let myself go and design for fun and how I please this more fun, carefree style just kinda comes out. It reminds me alot of what I did for my friend Tia's film blog. {She is awesome btw and if you ever need anything awesome filmographotized you should definitely go to her! And yes fimpographotized might be a made up word.}
