I didn't get this post up as soon as I wanted {busy end-of-school-almost-graduated errand/homework filled day} But I am determined to post as close to every day as possible!
I found a bunch of these old school soda caps at an antique shop. I got a whole bag of like 30 for 4 bucks! Sweet awesomeness. I decided to make some magnets out of them. All I used was a hot glue gun, some circular magnets I got at the craft store and the creative side of my brain.
A little tip if anyone decides to try this out for themselves. Either the magnets I got are extremely strong, or the hot glue is really weak, or some combination of the two...but, on some of these the magnet would separate from the cap after I stuck it to the fridge. So I'd recommend a stronger glue, my dad has construction grade glue that I am planning to fix them with. It takes 24 hours or so for that glue to dry but it is hefty stuff and I know for sure it wouldn't break away.
*Fun Facts:
1. Yes, my refrigerator is brown.
2. The little man magnet in the bottom picture comes from a collection of magnets I got when I traveled to Korea two summers ago. Each man-mag is in a different pose representing a different "blood type". Instead of like in the U.S. when you'd ask someone what their astrological sign was, in Korea you'd ask what the persons blood type was and this was supposed to determine compatibility! Interesting huh! Learn more about it HERE.
Here's Jess's most recent project...isn't she just so talented!

I made these after I got a whole bag of soda caps on our honeymoon! Funny thing is, I figured out that I didn't even need to use glue, the caps are magnetic so I just stuck them on there :)
